SSC will conduct an open competitive examination in order to hire eligible and interested candidates for the Post of Scientific Assistant in the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post, in the Level 6 of the Pay Matrix as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the IMD and as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between IMD and SSC. There are a total of 990 vacancies for the Post. The maximum age limit is 30 years.
Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC Headquarters i.e., https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions. The fee is payable: Rs. 100 (Rupee One Hundred Only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fees.
