Ministry of Defence, HQ Northern Command, Government of India, seeks applications from qualified Indian nationals for the engagement of Messenger under the category of “Ex-servicemen”. As per the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 official notification, interested individuals should not be between 18 and 25 years. The selected individual will be paid on a monthly basis at level 1 (Rs.5200 to 20,200) of the pay matrix. There are two (02) vacancies (Gen/UR-01 and OBC-01). There is 10% of positions have been reserved for ex-servicemen as well as 5% of the slots can be filled by meritorious athletes and assigned to the individual’s category.
As per the Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2023 official notification, the mentioned positions are temporary and will only become permanent if a two-year probationary term has been successfully completed. When appropriate, the engagement will last a maximum of four years from the date of the physical appointment. The candidates will be shortlisted for the available positions subject to a written test based on overall merit evaluation. The written test will be divided into four sections. The written test’s question and answer sheet will be available in both English and Hindi. However, the questions in the English-language component will only accept responses in that language. Candidates are requested to apply for the available post through the proper channel. Applications in the prescribed format will be sent along with demanded documents within 21 days from post advertisement by speed/ registered post to in the name of, ‘The Presiding Officer, Col Nikhil Madhav Khanzode, Commanding Officer, 135 (1) Wksp EME (Sig Gp), PIN-906135, C/o 56 APO’.
