Eastern Railway, Metro Railway, under the Ministry of Indian Railay, accepts applications from qualified Indian Nationals for the recruitment of various posts from GROUP-I (E.Rly), GROUP-I (Metro), GROUP-II (E.Rly), GROUP-III (E.Rly). As per the Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023 official notification, the hiring will be made for 689 vacant seats. The upper age limit for UR applicants will be 42 years, 45 years for OBC candidates, and 47 years for SC/ST candidates. The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2024. The shortlisted candidates will be offered monthly salaries on the Pay Scale of the 7th CPC pay matrix. The candidates selected for current vacancies must pass the appropriate medical fitness tests administered by the Railway Administration to verify that they are medically fit to perform the tasks associated with the job.
As per the Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates who meet the qualifying requirements may apply for more than one category of positions by selecting the appropriate options in the online application form. Applications must be registered ONLINE at RRC/ER’s website by entering the relevant information in the specified format. Candidates must provide their personal cell phone number and e-mail address in the online application form and maintain them active throughout the recruiting process. The selection process shall comprise of a Computer Based Test or written examination followed by Computer Based Aptitude Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination. The CBT or Written Examination will be conducted in single/two stages in the categories wherever applicable. The closing date for application submission is 30th August 2023.
